After spending a LOT of time clearing crimps on Lake City brass, I was wondering...

How in the good name of decency do they get the brass crimped AFTER seating a primer?

The have a machine with a ram that enters from the neck and holds the base from the inside, and then a tool that is just larger than the primer. After this, its just a mater of adding the proper amount of force (>58K PSI).

Thanks Mitch. That's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure as to how they would make it so that the primer wouldn't detonate...
