No clue where to post so I followed the faq and placed it here...

I'm newly retired at 42 due to disability. I want to spend my time doing some good, ideally some charitable work and finish writing a few novels. I have a big warm and fuzzy for our military personnel and am trying to find a decent mil related charity in need of help. I've organized quite a few "adopt a platoon" type drives in the past but would like to do more. If anyone can lend some SA I'd very much appreciate it.

DAV, Salvation Army, Eastern Paralyzed Veterans, Military Order of Devil Dogs. These charities all help Vets. I know, except for the Paralyzed Vets (I had no need), they all helped me.
