Mil Spec and Commercial buffers tubes interchange?

I have a RRA ar15 that has a commercial buffer tube on it. I am wanting to put a Mil spec tube on it. are the threads the same on the lower?

Yes they're the same. Since RRA locktites their tubes, I suggest putting the tube itself in the vise when you go to remove the castle nut, rather than putting the lower in the vise. That way you can avoid destroying your tube like I did, and install your mil spec sized tube without fail.

Yes, only thing not interchangeable is the stocks. You'll have a hard time fitting a commercial stock to a milspec buffer or vice versa.
