Well here it is. I wanted a 338 for a while now. I decided to get a TAC-338. Very impressed with this rifle so far. I have just begun to play with handloads, and produced a 1/2" group.
sellier & bellot 338 lapua brass (worst brass I've ever dealt with)
250 match king
96.5 grains Retumbo
Fed mag primer

Big thanks to Dave @ Mile High for getting this out to me.

Lapua brass all the way... Coming from a guy who should really own stock in Nammo Lapua Oy, use their brass and never look back. Pricey, yes.

With the exception of PPU brass, I've never had solid results with anything else. (PPU brass is a bit heavier, so drop about grain off of your charge for testing). Still, PPU will produce pressure/sticky bolt conditions well before Lapua brass will (for me and many others).

I'm going to buy some Lapua brass and some 285 Amaxes soon from PowderValley. I just bought the S&B ammo to have something to shoot, and get a good base for load data. The primer pockets are out of spec, and I had bolt stick through my entire load range.
