Is it true that all Federal brass has a military crimp in them? I didnt even notice when I reloaded some Federal Brass ( first time i reloaded federal brass) and the primers went in smoothly and seated good but then I remembered, Crimp! Shit. I again looked at the primers after I seated them and you could see the outline of the crimp (half of it) burried with the primer. Good thing I only loaded 15 of them. Pulled and trashed. I wouldnt think Federal would military crimp their 69 and 77gr Sierra Matchkings but they do.
Does the Black Hills Remanufactured brass have the crimp in it? I usually just reload the Remington Premier Match brass, It seems to work the best.

Most of the reloading companies have primer crimp removing tools. Any range brass i pick up gets hit with a crimp remover military or comercial. All of the Fed military 223 stuff I have was crimped. Midway USA has large and small crimp removers. Mine are from Hornady, there about $10-15. Do yourself a favor by both sizes.
