Gunsmithing Mill suggestions

I’m hoping to stay at $5,000 or under. That isn’t a hard number. I want this to be my last mill. I’m looking at a used PM935 VFD and DRO for $4500

I have one of those. It's very accurate, and the meehanite ways are slick as snot.

I've been using it for 4 years. The x and y screws each have about .005" of backlash.

It's a little short for me though. I built a base, to lift it about 6"

Sorry to revive the old thread hopefully this will be helpful to the next person. I bought a Precision Matthews 727 V with a 1.5 HP motor. They are very similar to Grizzly. Seems to be plenty for everything I wanted to do with pistols since that was the intended purpose but I will say when your equipment such as a 8" rotary table, 8" chuck and tail stock you start eating table room quick, get the biggest table you can afford! Also plan for the tooling. V blocks, rotary table, Vise, cutters and a cabinet full of mics, gauge blocks and calipers I easily spent more on tooling than the cost of the machine. Only nice part is you don't have to do all of it at once. If you can get a Digital Read Out upfront with any of these machines. It decreases the errors with the backlash in the table when you can watch the actual table movement.
