Mini Range Report! Tac Ops Delta 51

[T2CH]

A couple weeks ago I received my Delta 51 from Tactical Operations. The gun functions as well as it looks, without a doubt. My 12 year old son loves it so much I can hardly get behind it when he is at the range with me.
The weekend turned out to be a great day for range time so we set out with JSTARSZ and a couple other guys. J was shooting his newly acquired Black Ops rifle, which is a shooter as well. There was also a SAC being shot by another friend, beautiful rifle by the way.

My son wanted to have a shoot off between us and my neighbor who has never shot prone or at any distance. This is my sons 3 shot group. He normally shoots left hand but this rifle is set up for me so he has to shoot right hand. I'm proud to say he can stack them either way. The other shots are my neighbor sighting in his 25-06.



This is my group. This is the first 3 shots of the day including the clean, cold bore.



This is my neighbors group. Again, he has never shot from the prone position. He is very interested in getting into tactical style shooting and shows promise.

To say this rifle meets the guarantee is an understatement. The rifle is perfect in everyway, functions perfect, looks perfect, shoots perfect.

I'll leave a group of my sons from a previous range trip where he kicked my ass with the groups. Again, this is him shooting right handed...

I really can't say enough about the rifle, I love it. Its a pleasure to shoot and Mike has done a great job building it. The fit, finish, balance and operation is second to none. Now I just need the ATF to hurry the up and the rifle will be complete with a TAC .30 suppressor.

The wait is more than worth it, I will have another!

Guhhh...

'Scuse muh drool, but I am obsessing over these rifles. I just got the call from Mike yesterday that my Delta is (finally) inside the one-month window, and I'm already starting to climb the walls. All other months of waiting have been fine, but now that the finish line is in view...

Back on topic: those are some good groups, T2CH; I'm particularly impressed that your 12-year-old son shoots so well. Father-taught, I assume?

I really can't say enough about the rifle, I love it. Its a pleasure to shoot and Mike has done a great job building it. The fit, finish, balance and operation is second to none. Now I just need the ATF to hurry the up and the rifle will be complete with a TAC .30 suppressor.

I wish I saw this post earlier. I guess I am slacking lately. Whenever T2CH's son comes out to shoot two things always happens - one he always shoots a very nice group with the TacOps and then always shoots up all the Federal Gold Medal Match 223 rounds for the LaRue before T2CH figures out that he has shot $200 dollars of match grade ammo down range. I always laugh as a discussion ensues to how much that just cost. You can lay out the Federal 55 GR cheap stuff and have the Federal Match in a bag and he always ends up getting the Federal Match out to blast down range. But, that kid can shoot as I have seen him lay down some awesome groups that makes me wonder what I am doing wrong.
