Minimum Barrel Contour for 5/8x24 threads

Does anyone know what the minimum barrel contour for 5/8x24 threads would be. Looking for a Krieger barrel, any help would be much appreciated.

0.640" OD at the muzzle would be absolute minimum

I'd decline muzzles smaller than .67, but really would rather see .700 minimum

I would unconditionally trust Bugholes on this one .... the major diameter of the thread is only .6250 but the shoulder aligns the device to the bore. I was just SWAGing it.

What Bugholes said. AAC specs 0.675" min for 5/8x24. You can download their thread specs from their site. Whose device are you installing? Check their specs. Bang on.

I would be using a Thunderbeast 30-P1

I just looked over the thread specs sheet from Thunderbeast, and their minimun is .725. Thanks for the good insight on this discussion

You can have a thin barrel and leave the muzzle end a little thicker like on the AAC 700 300BLK.

How about having it machined to 1/2-32 then an adaptor to 5/8-24?
