minimum clearance in magazine

what is the minimum clearance for the tip of the bullet inside a magazine? i am using PMAG aics 5 round magazines and i am wondering what is the minimum distance from tip of the bullet to the front wall of the mag when the cartridge is seated the whole way to the rear of the mag

i got that part, but when i measure the inside of the mag with calipers, the mag is 2.880" so how far past the spec'd 2.86" can i go aka how close can i get to the front of the mag before it causes issues

Been there. I’d stay at their recommended max length. I screwed around with some RDFs over 2.875, but wasn’t comfortable running them that close.
