Is anybody familiar with Minox scopes? The ad says (I realize an add can say ANYTHING) German glass and US assembly. Just wondering...

glass is probably very good but the reticle choices suck!! Could be better

Yes, they are made with the German SHOTT Glass and they are assembled here in the USA

their cameras were the shiznit too. remember the little camera in all the spy movies when they were taking pictures of documents? the push-pull silver one? Minox.
