Missing Argentinian Submarine found 1 year after sinking

The wreck certainly needs to be explored to try to figure out why it sank. Any responsible Navy would do so for technical reasons and because it's the right thing to do by the families of the lost.

Whether or not to salvage it, that's a more difficult question. I would say that should be attempted when there's absolutely no other way to find out the truth. But traditionally, sailors are left to rest in peace at the bottom of the sea.

Rest in peace, camaradas, on eternal patrol.

Drillships of today are far more capable than the Glomar Explorer ever was. 3000 ft depth ain't shit nowdays. Last one I was on was capable of 10k water depth. So was the Deepwater Horizon and it was a semisubmersible. I know I know, the nostalgia, the intrigue, the ingenuity of those back in the day. I'm just bringing y'all up to speed a little.
