Rifle Scopes mix matching rings and bases

How many guys here mix match there rings and bases? Is it a bad thing to do? I was getting ready to put badger rings on a nightforce base and a guy told me it was a bad idea. How many agree with this?

Nothing wrong with it. I have done it on many of my rifles.

I have a few rifles with Ken Farrell bases and Leupold MK-4 rings.It makes for a good set-up,and is cheaper than some of the others. Pete

I have a Nightforce base and Leupold rings. It works fine.
