Mixed up my 700 s/a bolts

I have two Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308 rifles. I just sent both bolts off to have Badger knobs put on. I had them taped and marked which bolt went to which rifle. Got my bolts back. Ripped off the tape. Set the bolts down to go to the safe to retrieve my rifles and when I got back, completely forgot which bolt went with which rifle. The bolts have a number on them and I tried to reason that the lower number on the bolt should match up with the lower serial number on the rifles but I'm not sure if that's very sound reasoning. Any suggestions? Does it even matter?

Remington 700's used to have the last 4 digits of the rifles serial # marked on them. Look on the bottom of the bolt just forward of the bolt handle.

+1 That's how mine are.
