Looking for info on the .300 Win Mag "MK 248 MOD 1" reamer. Anyone have one? How is it different from a "standard" .300 Win Mag reamer? How about .300 Win Mag MK 248 MOD 1 dies? Any ideas?

I have the MK248 (A191) reamer, but not the Mod1. As I understand it, the original reamer was designed for the 190gr SMK and the Mod1 for the 220gr.
I used the 248 on my own rifle a few years ago and was pushing 190's at 3100 with incredible results. I used the Redding Match dies (I also loaded the 190 Berger VLDs).
I haven't compared the reamer drawings for the MK248 and the standard reamers that are available, but I can e-mail/fax the drawings to you if you'd like.

I don't know that they'll have it ready to ship, but PT&G can definitely make one for you.

Check with High Caliber Sales (Hide Vendor), They are building MK13 MOD5s Alan worked at Crane and it looks like they could be doing the new chamber. Here is a link to the rifle MK 13 MOD5 Kevin is one of the owners. I am sure he would take the time to help you.
