Looking for info on the .300 Win Mag "MK 248 MOD 1" reamer. Anyone have one? How is it different from a "standard" .300 Win Mag reamer? How about .300 Win Mag MK 248 MOD 1 dies? Any ideas?

Unless something has changed since I came overseas, its the normal civ chambering. There is no more "Crane" chambering on the MK13's

Re: "MK 248 MOD 1" reamer & dies?

I have the MK248 (A191) reamer, but not the Mod1. As I understand it, the original reamer was designed for the 190gr SMK and the Mod1 for the 220gr.

I used the 248 on my own rifle a few years ago and was pushing 190's at 3100 with incredible results. I used the Redding Match dies (I also loaded the 190 Berger VLDs).

I haven't compared the reamer drawings for the MK248 and the standard reamers that are available, but I can e-mail/fax the drawings to you if you'd like.
