the mk6 was never a very good LPV, especially at its price. Today, there are much better options like the NX8 and Vortex Gen 3, both can be had for under $2k.
Eotech also make a very nice LPV that is quasi daylight bright and 1-6 FFP around the $1k mark. You can also pick up used gen 2 razors for around $1K.

Leupold discount isn’t that great ( I get the same one). Eotech mil discount isn’t great I can find cheaper on commercial market same with vortex. Nightforce has a decent one you can get a nx8 for about what Leupold charges with a decent reticle.
there are a lot of really good 1-x out now from $1k to $3k. The minox is awesome as is the old trusty mk8, both over the $2k Mark.
if it was me I would order a vortex 1-10 from liberty optics then paitently wait a few months for it. Best price out there and it’s a great optic at its price.

I agree there are better options on the market now from Vortex, NF, Khales, etc... Most vendors here will give you a mil discount if you call them up and talk to them. In my opinion, going with a Leupold simply because you get a discount and not because it's the better product is flawed logic.
I’ve been running a mark 6 1-6 on my 3 gun rifle for probably going on 5 years now and It’s totally awesome. Obviously everyone has there opinions but for me I couldn’t be happier with the clarity on any power and it’s rock solid. Have it in the mark 6 ims mount. There’s good choices out there but I think you’ll love it if you end up with the Leupold.
