Re: MK12 Mod1

Isn't it upside down in your case? Why have the optic facing the hinge? Thats the sode that takes the most abuse, and your glass is right there...

Just an option...

I do it the other way, to save any undue bangs on my glass.

I like you setup! How do you like the bushnell, I just put one on my carbine. Haven't shot it yet though!

Which one? In most of those pics, I have the 6-24 which is the model with MOA turrets. I have since replaced it with the 3-12, which has .1 mil turrets. I like them both quite a bit and for the money, they are hard to beat. For 200 yard target shooting, I think the extra magnification of the 6-24 is more enjoyable to use, but I like the profile/size of the 3-12 and the mil turrets a lot more on this particular application.

Overall, I think it's a great mid-line scope, the glass is clear, adjustments have been repeatable, etc. It's no S&B, but it's still plenty clear.

I am still once again considering replacing the scope and going with the 3.5-10 Leupold M5 before my mil discount runs out, even though the Bushnell has better options (12x mag and illumination). Guess we'll see.

Re: MK12 Mod1

I also have the 3-12 mil/mil on mine. So far seems very clear, honestly comparable to the mark 4 I just sold!

But like I said haven't put a round through it with the bushy mounted yet!

+1 on this. I was wondering the same thing.

Sweet looking setup though.

Hmm, I guess I have always just done it this way..never really put much thought into it. Now that I think of it, I suppose I have seen it both ways.

Maybe I should turn it around, eh?

Tho, I *REALLY* hope between the hard plastic and internal foam, my 'tactical' scope can handle the bumps and bruises of me setting the case down, heh.

I totally agree, but when flying, I take NOTHING for granted. Just thought I'd toss that out there.

Indeed. Like mentioned, I suppose I just never had the forethought to do so. I imagine turning it around could prevent some heavy knocks. Prolly end up doing it the next time I'm back in the states and/or fly with that rifle.

Oh, and thanks for the compliments.
