MK4 MOLLE Case

Apologies in advance for the stupid question.

I picked up a MK4 recently, and it came with a soft case that has MOLLE webbing down the sides.

Been scratching my head trying to figure out what on Earth someone would want to stick on the side of their spotting scope.

Are any of you guys actually using those attachment points, or are they just tacticool decorations?

That was my initial thought, but wouldn't you have a giant pack dangling off the side when it's set up on a tripod?

Yea, perhaps they were oriented that way with the designers thinking everyone would be in the prone position when shooting (and drinking). I could see it if you used a Nalogene bottle...
