In Missouri for suppressor ownership you need an FFL or C&R Lic.

So to start my process I applied for a C&R Lic. my question is this:

I submitted my paperwork and for payment I used my CC, the charge for the Lic. went through about a month ago but I have not yet received my paperwork. How long should I wait for the lic. to show up before I make a call and check on this?

If/when I call do I call my local branch, national or who?

Sorry for the stupid question, but you know what they say....no stupid questions just stupid people who ask questions.

You do not need an FFL in Missouri anymore to own NFA items. But to answer your question, keep waiting.

Re: MO C&R Lic question

I recently went through the same process: purchased my first can and filed for a MO C&R; however, as of August 28th, I was told you no longer need to hold a C&R license to own a suppressor. I just contacted the ATF and asked them to cancel my application and refund the $30. It was no problem, they emailed a cancelation form and that was it.

You still need an FFL for the next week.

Took eight weeks for mine. Even though you wont need it in another week it still has its benefits.
You will be glad you have it.

I have already paid for mine just in dealer discounts.

Re: MO C&R Lic question

Thanks for your help on this.

Now for those MO residents in the KC metro area, would you please send me a PM with your recommendation for who to use for an out of state transfer. I know we have 3 or 4 to choose from, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I prefer a PM to prevent any conflict with regards to one persons opinion vs. another

Thanks!

First thing to do is send a copy to Midway and get a dealer discount there.
