Well, I have never shot at a range past 100 yards, but I got bite by the bug to shoot 1,000 yards. So I've been doing some reading on here and the 6.5 Creedmoor forum and went and purchased an RPR. I actually know pretty much nothing about long range shooting. I know the basic concepts of reloading, but my dad reloads and I already got him talked into helping me out. I've been researching some reloading data that people have listed on here to get my started.
I went and bought the Bushnell laser range finder that connects to the Kestrel Sportsman Elite tonight as I got a killer deal on it.
I used a 4-16 Monarch 3 as a scope on my RPR the next morning to just play around at the range and didnt like it at all. I think mostly due tot he scope rings being way to tall so it created poor sight picture. But I bought a Bushnell Trophy Xtreme 6-24 50 tonight to hold me over until I can buy a vortex or a NF once I get through Christmas.
Looking forward to catching up with some of you.
