Rifle Scopes moa or mil please help

i don't understand.
the new leupolds come in mil dot and Tactical Milling Reticle
is one standard and one metric?
both are m5 turrets which one click = 1cm at what distance?
i know it is best to have moa moa or mil mil
does the reticle matter?
please help.

The Leupold mil dot and TMR are both milliradian (mr) based reticles.

The M4 turret is 0.5 cm at 100m (0.05mr/click). The M5 turret is 1.0 cm at 100m (0.1mr/click).

It's best to have the reticle and turrets in the same unit (either MOA, IPHY, or milliradians).

Yes, the reticle matters and, in part, it's a personal choice that depends on what you want to do with it.
