i have been looking throughout the web for anything that would get the job done, short of gun smithing and scavenging old mags from different rifles. I have been waiting for quik-clips to come out with their .308 but apparently it was supposed to come out last/two months ago... anyone have any suggestions on companies that produce the product im looking for? I truely dont mind the price too much but im looking for atleast 5-10 shot mags that will fit to a VTR or a SPS .308. any suggestions would be very appreciated! thanks for looking.

p.s. sorry if the question has been asked but im a noobie in the forum department haah

Re: Model 700 .308 mag conversion kits??

Just for clarification:

Are you looking for makers of Remington Short action Detachable Bottom Metal (DBM's) or makers of DBM's that do not require gunsmith inletting to fit and feed right?

There are a number of companies that produce Remington SA bottom metal that take detachable 4 to 10 round magazines.

H-S Precision
Badger Ordnance
CDI Precision
Waytt's Outdoor
Surgeon Rifles
Seekins Precision
Hooper Ordnance
R&D Precision

And probably more I'm not aware of. Google is your friend.....

Re: Model 700 .308 mag conversion kits??

The only one's that I am aware of that don't need gunsmithing are some type of chassis system like the Manners mini chassis DBM, AICS chassis, or the metal chassis systems. I run a Manners mini chassis and it required no gunsmithing at all. It accepts any AICS spec mag. I run Alpha Type 1 .308 10 rounders in mine and love it!
