This is for simple conversation and not attempting to prove or suggest anything.

How do modern/current scopes in the $2K +/- range compare to the top end scopes of previous years? An example of top end in my mind would be a Kahles and similiar from the '90's or earlier 2000's?

How do modern scopes in the above price range stack up in adjustment, glass quality, durability, tracking, etc. Have the current $2K range scopes caught up to the quality from the earlier years mentioned?

The new stuff is improved in almost every way. I think the optical coatings providing more clarity is what has advanced the most. The popularization of snipers has caused a lot more people to enter the hobby. More people means more investment and I have heard the present referred to as the golden age of scopes.
