The bottom of Magpul PRS2 has two 10-32 threaded inserts for custom sling, rail, or mounting a monopod.

Who makes a quality monopod that will fit 10-32 threaded inserts?

Thank you.

Re: Monopod for the PRS2 from Magpul

I don't believe that Magpul ever got around to intro'ing their rail for the PRS2 and I have not seen any aftermarket sources specifically. Out of curiosity, what is the spacing (center to center) of the two holes in the bottom of the stock?

You may be able to get one of the Accushot rails to adapt to that role. The BT15 has hole spacing of 1.3" to 2.25" while the BT17 goes from 2.2" to 3.5". Both units use 10-32 x ¾" screws for mounting. See here:

If that fails, I'd suggest getting with Murphy Precision and see what they can do for you in terms of a custom rail with holes drilled at the precise locations you need them.

I have the accu-shot with quick-pod accessory on it for sale if your want it. Its the best mono out there. Mine has the quick button on it so you dont have to screw it up/down.

Depending on the application the accushot pods can be too short depending on the height or your bipod. The short accushot works well on my M1A but wont work on my SASS...had to get the longer one.

That's what I will do.

Thank you!

This one is configured to be my SASS... how high is the bipod on your SASS?

I find I'm ok on my AR/PRs/Harris6-9 combo as long as I'm no more than half way up on the bipod and I'm not aiming down much. Was an issue in a class where there was a slightly elevated shooting position and you had to take a short (75yrd) shot before a long shot. Of course a short shot doesn't need as stable of rest, so I would just fist it a bit higher for the short shot.

That M14/PRS stock looks like it sits lower than a PRS on a AR, so it may not be an issue.

Re: Monopod for the PRS2 from Magpul

Anyone have a link to where I can find the rail for that stock. I'm pretty new , and just havn't seen much. I have a Savage 110 BA in .300 Win , and I'm wanting a monopod. Just looks like it's not easy to find a lower rail for this stock.

I have a 10BA-LE and have been looking for one too (how I found this thread). Contacted H2O man on another website and he said they are supposed to be available from Sage International (google them). I just called to order one and am waiting for them to get back from lunch and call me... He said it was supposed to be about $17.50 (had heard $35 so maybe this is actually the distributor price?). They said it was part #PRI-MR (not MPR1) when I called (but they cannot sell directly to Kalifornia so I have to find a distributor to get it from. I hate living here... )

Re: Monopod for the PRS2 from Magpul

Sorry, the correct part number from Sage is:
MPRI-MR Monopod rail.

Got one on order from US Tactical Supply in Oregon for $17.50 + $5 shipping and should have it in a week or two. They did not have it in stock but were great about following up with me and ordering it from Sage...
