Couple more pics from tuesday this week. Making solid hits out to 830 meters with the 20" SPS Tac / Federal 175gr SMK.

In about 500 or so rounds it'll be time to start looking at a new barrel, probably something along the lines of the Bartlein stainless 5R barrel/1:11.25 twist #7 GAP uses in their Crusader rifles. Either way the 20" is good to go but the extra MV of the 24 would be nice to carry more zing down range.

After only one week I got sick of having a shiny new USO so it was time to paint the whole cannon. The base and initial layer are done, will touch it up with some sponged on brown / black in the next few weeks perhaps. Here where everything is so dry, anything is better than black.

BRAVO ZULU to you 96C, and I love the detailed ballistic data taped on the left side of the stock.

WTF did we ever do before the advent of digital cameras and the Internet!!!!!... What we did was loose a S*%t-pot full of “kewl’ pixs all those years!!!!

Thanks fellas, still the same part of Victoria. Down in the SE corner of Aus. Nice and cool in winter, fairly hot in summer... Huge swing in vegetation colours, super green lush grass to dry dusty and sharp in summer.

We snapped this together in the same area a while ago. 691yds from memory. Tends to get fairly gusty up there, alot of valleys and open plains to deal with.

i dont wish to hijac your thread but the barrels can be fitted to any action that is done in the machining stage but the profile and cal and twist might need to be special ordered can do anything including square threads like a M17
