    Our knowledge of this virus isn't even a year old... as a parent I'm not going to be gung ho with my kids' lives or health. There are more and more cases of how kids are getting affected by this virus. Why not show some caution?

    My stance on CV should be well-established at this point. So hopefully it means something when I say that this is horseshit. It's outdoors, it's not a particularly vulnerable age group, and it should be straightforward to maintain some sort of safe distancing (to the extent that it's even required when outdoors). Fuck, this is stupid, and it's just going to lead to disobdience in following guidelines that may actually be helpful.

    I would allow my sons (who are still in Cub Scouts) to participate in such an activity.

    If you live in a society, you need to understand there's no such thing as absolute individual personal freedom. You HAVE to obey traffic laws, you have to pay taxes, you have to be law abiding. Not all laws are rooted in the Constitution because not all of societies needs were in existence when the Constitution was created- hence amendments...

    If you want to tell the govt to fuck off then go where the govt isn't. I hear Somalia is nice...

    Fuck each and every word of this post. If you are so worried about the health and well being of you and your family it’s up to you to take the necessary precautions that you think are necessary. It’s not my, or anybody else’s, responsibility to babysit your health status.

    Your vaccine argument is fucking retarded - if you are vaccinated, then you are protected from that virus so it is of no consequence to you if i am not vaccinated against same virus. Stay at home, lock your doors/windows, and bleach every surface in your prison every 30 mins to stay "healthy," meanwhile me and my family will enjoy our lives. This may shock you, but in the end we will all die (but not all of will have lived).

    I wholeheartedly agree.
    The scouts was decent, but things are not the same any more.
    The national organization decided to allow the SJW / Homosexual types to start taking over, with little regard to the welfare of the children.

    They have run off a lot of good decent folks that should be involved with teaching kids, while letting in folks that shouldn't be there.

    I haven't come across any real ones recently, so no.

    Actual true servants of the illuminated one are my sworn enemies, you are unlikely to know anything about them.

    Most of what you see touted that you think of as "witches" or "Satan worshipers" are actually just your average human with delusions of grandeur and are a joke and cannon fodder to both sides. So I don't bother with those, I just let them go on their way in their ignorance, I can even be nice to them since in the grand scheme of things they don't matter, just more human chaff like the bulk of humans these days.

    Well, I now feel really good about the few hundred hours per year I spent volunteering with my local organization in the pursuit of turning the youth of today into the men of tomorrow.

    I do wish you'd walk into one of our meetings and proclaim everyone there to be "creeps and perverts". I'm just an all-talk/no-action wimp, but man, some of the other parents... this might not go well.

    Several of my family members were involved with scouts, either as scouts or leaders.
    There are plenty that have seen dealings with either the national office or local state offices and understood the good days were long gone.

    I'm sure there are lots of good fine people still in scouts.

    BUT the national organization has clearly, openly and publicly decided that they will embrace the SJW / Homosexual agenda.

    Sad but that's the way things go.

    It only takes a few creeps to spoil the fun for everyone and ruin an organization.

    I'll edit my post so as not to be painting folks with a large brush where it is unwarranted.
