Two of five my buddy and I got the other night. No calls were used and all were taken in a five hour period. We saw a total of 12 coyotes and one Bobcat during this night, which is pretty typical for this farm.

Every few month my buddy and I will head out to a private farm and help the owner out with a little coyote control. This is a working farm and the coyotes on this farm are call smart to the point they hear a call they will run the other direction. They don’t need to work for food and have no interest in the call what so ever and will either run or ignore it.

The one thing the coyotes out there are use to seeing is farm vehicles and are not always in a big hurry to leave the area. We simply scan the fields and catch them out in the open.

All five were taken with .243 using 75 grain V-Max. Closest was about 100 yards the furthest was 240 yards.

Yes. Specs on lights, areas of use, and when they can be used are a little different depending on the area and if it's deer season or not. No limit or season on coyotes.
