It has been a long time coming that conservatives start defending themselves in a manner equally to how they are attacked.

Any Republican politician or candidate that does not carry a weapon (preferably a concealed handgun and knife) when out in public is a damned fool. That goes triple when campaigning or in any sort of public event.
