More than one rifle in same caliber?

I do not collect rifles. If I do not use it, it doesn't stay in my safe. My 308 is falling out of favor to my 6.5 CM. I strictly shoot prone at steel, 1000 yards plus. So I may rebarrel the 308 to 6.5. The 308 gets its butt kicked in this category.

Do you guys have more than one rifle in the same caliber?

Yes, for a number of reasons.

Of course. I have multiples of the exact same rifle or pistol in the same caliber. If I like something I have at minimum two.

I have 2x 6.5 rifles. One is <7 lbs, the other is 17 lbs. Same caliber, wildly different purpose.

If I had the funds I'd have 2x 7 SAUMs, one for hunting and one fof ELR.

Several 308s in different barrel lengths, twist rates, and applied purpose. Same with 7mm RM and 22lr. This keeps the need for multiple calibers down thus limiting reloading components that only apply to one rifle.

? More than one? 3-4+/caliber. Same reason I have 20 hammers, each tool is specifically designed for a specific purpose.

Absolutely, I am a firm believer in that practice. Some obviously do not get shot as much as others and are basically safe queens, but they are there if need be.

I run two rifles in the same caliber. Heavy build for competition and lightweight replica for hunting. Same load between both rifles as well

More than one gun in the same caliber? I would really have a tough time sorting through all the negative emotions if I thought about only being able to keep one 9mm, 5.56, 6.5, 308, 22lr

I have two 223s, two 260s, two 6.5 Creedmoors, two 284s and two 308s.

As others have already stated, they have different purposes.

I am trying not to get more than one in the same caliber till I get them all which is far from happening , but I keep trying . I will pass on before I could get all the little guns but if your not willing to try , what is the point of dreaming ?
