Sidearms & Scatterguns Mossberg 500 MILS?

Was recently browsing the used guns at my local gun store and ran across a mossberg 500MILS 12 gauge with a 20inch barrel. I have never heard of this version of the 500 before and really can’t find much info on it. Does anyone know much about it? Are they rare? Could this be a diamond in the rough?

I’ve never had any issues with any mossberg. Remington on the other hand has let me down several times. I’m sure there are other great ones out there but I’ve never had any need to get them as my 590 handles all I need .
