I am thinking of ordering this rifle, and was wondering if anyone been shooting with this rifle.

I hate to order it, and then don't like it, since I can't find shop that has one in stock to hold it and feel it, to see if like it.

So I come to my Forum Members to give thoughts on the rifle.

I would appreciate any help in making the right decision.

Thanks!

You'll probably find better feedback on m4carbine.net or AR15.com

I was. part of the focus group testing Mossberg did before releasing this rifle. It was an hour long "grilling" on every feature I do and do not like on an AR, etc. Then a year or so later, I saw this show up.

I got a voucher for $250 to a local gun shop...fun times.

I also am interested.
You've resurrected and old thread. Here's what I've learned in the few months I've been on this forum. Again, this is what this forum has taught me.
  1. If you must buy off the shelf, get a Tikka or Sako. Everything else is an abomination.
  2. You really should spend over $10k on something custom like an Accuracy International or equivalent.
  3. Whichever chambering you choose it will be the wrong one unless it is something like a .375 Cheytac or costs at least $7/rd to load.
  4. Consult the list of forum acceptable scopes. Everything else is an abomination.
In all seriousness though, I have a Mossberg Patriot in 6.5CM in that same chassis and it performs well above it's cost of entry. I've only had it out to 500yds so far but it shoots sub MOA at that range. The barrel heats up very fast and I have to wait for it to cool between shots or it goes to hell. They aren't bad for the price. That being said, I came across a deal on a Bergara BMP and had to jump on it. It is noticeably better than the Patriot in every way. <0.7 MOA consistently with factory ammo (Hornady Match ELD-M 140gr) and I can shoot longer strings before it heats up. It is about the same price as the Mossberg you posted I believe. Not a 5.56 though.
