The G36 is 1" longer, about 0.25" taller, and somewhere around 0.1" thicker/wider than the Kahr.
If you are seriously looking at the Kahr, get one in your hand before you buy because they are TINY and recoil is stout to put it mildly...especially with HD/carry loads. Make sure it fits you appropriately. I friend of mine has one and it was a chore for me to shoot with my big mits. I got my index, middle and small portion of my ring finger onto the grip frame with everything else hanging below the end of the mag. It was uncomfortable to shoot because my inability to get a solid grip on it with my shooting hand. </div></div>
I held one a few months back at a gun show. Because of its size, I thought it was a 9mm, until I seen the big gaping hole in the buiness end. I immediately became excited, since I was already considering a compact 45acp. I would be using it for concealed carry. I realize it would have more recoil due to its weight/size but when it comes to self defense, I'm all about slinging some big lead. I have medium size hands and have shot several sub compacts where the pinky finger is tucked under; (.357 .38 .380 & 9mm). This has never been a problem for me. I had a sub compact Springfield 1911 but it was not as compact as the Karh. It was also all stainless, which was heavier than I liked for concealed cary. I have never owned a Karh but a friend has owned several in 9mm & 40. He highly recommends them.
