Motorcycle cop busted by 12 year old

I wish the kid had rode up on a motorized scooter and been like "hey, what's up. I see we can ride on the sidewalk now." And the cop would have been like "what do you think you're doing?" Kid: "getting coffee, what does it look like."

Yes sometimes cops break the law. Cops including this one are armed. People who break the law are criminals. I think it is unwise (and in violation of common sense) to have a 12 year old confront a armed criminal. Or for that matter I also think it is unwise for a 12 year old to be confrontational with the police. This attitude may get this kid into trouble someday. Unnecessary and avoidable trouble.

Nothing bad could happen from messing with the cops, ya say? http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...s-role-in--kidsforcash-kickbacks-8598147.html well suppose the cops fab up some charge and you get a judge like this one?

I think it is unwise for the kid to be taught to do something else. He was respectful throughout the ordeal, and handled himself very well. If we are taught not to question authority at a young age, will we question it as adults? If we don't question authority as adults, who will make sure authority/government of any form doesn't run amuck? As far as I am concerned that 12 year old boy was respectful, and reminded a member of the government that they are not better than the average population.

I don't think that this 12 year old should have become confrontational with the cop. He reminds me of a smartass who will indeed let his mouth get him in trouble in the future. Surely, this 12 year old has better things to do with his time, I would hope.

Someone is teaching their kid to be an asshole,,,,and its not the cop.

Wife's post, I let her view the video.

No, I just see that kid asking questions from the wrong person and getting his lights knocked out. I have seen it happen several times through out my career.

Lets call that one what it is, child abuse. This piece of shit judge should be thankful he only got 28 years. Consider all the young lives he has so negatively impacted...what happened to those kids while they were wrongly incarcerated. If I could get my hands on him he would beg for prison.

LEO, right?

a kid put a arrogant cop on the internet..it would be interesting if anything came from the incident.

Maybe like the ones in Temple Texas hes "Exempt from the law."

To whomever posted that "the kid was being confrontational with the cop", obviously didn't watch that. That kid was calm, cool, and collected the whole time. He was very "gentlemanlike". Good on him.

EXACTLY....the kid was NOT confrontational. The manner in which he asked for his badge number and stated the fact he was parking a motorized vehicle on the sidewalk DOES NOT and SHOULD NOT be considered confrontational. If you believe it does, that's sad.

In the old days the kid would have earned a Good Citizenship award. Why did he do wrong?

Nothing, it jus ain't "the old days" anymore. Not that they were so great, but shit sure has slid down hill.

What would happen to the kid or an adult if he had done that to a outlaw biker, say one of the Bandito's or Hells Angels? How about if someone had parked a get away bike close to the location they were robbing? What do you think would happen?

Just my opinion, the kid is being raised very liberal left wing.

No reason to mess with the cop on the sidewalk, Kid well within his rights though, the cops work for him and us, cop remained cool though, funny 70's B list porn star stache and all.

I agree with Army Jerry What was the point? The cop more than likely would have given his badge number to an adult, I just don't think he took the kid seriously and the police are public servants, sworn to protect and serve. However, the porn stash has to go!

The laws do not apply to cops. Don't you see how they get to do all kinds of shit that would be illegal for the common serf.

Why don't you do this as a test:

The next time you see a person roll a stop sign at an empty intersection, chase down said person and demand they stop their car. You can tell them to get out of their car if you want. If they refuse, show them your gun and point it at them until they comply. Don't worry about having an accidental discharge or anything. If you shoot them, either for fun or whatever reason, nobody will prosecute you and we will still put your smiling department photo on the evening news and call you a hero. If something goes really really wrong, you might get six weeks in a minimum security prison before going through some sensitivity training and being rehired by the department.

Anyway, feel free to write a "reverse IOU" that says these people need to mail some money to the people who are going to give you a cut of the loot for risking all you risk to keep society safe from stop sign rollers. If a maiden occupies the vehicle and she looks appetizing, you can tell her to get out of the car and you can run your hands all over her body. We call this job perk a "pat down" and it's almost as good as the strip search and the body cavity search, which is where you and your partner can stick a finger up her ass and in her pussy all in the name of public safety.

As long as you do it where the dash cam can't see, you can cop a big feel on her ass or tits and it's your word against hers if she ever brings it up. After all, you're a hero in blue, so who will everybody believe. Of course she is still somebody's daughter, but hey, isn't everybody somebody's kid?

If the person is a real asshole because they think they should have some modicum of self respect throughout this violating process, then you can handcuff and kidnap them in the back of your car. While they are sitting there, feel free to search their vehicle and rummage through their personal effects. To cover the pesky Fourth Amendment bases that would otherwise get in the way, we have plenty of pre-signed warrants and can make some shit up later if it becomes an issue with the media.

Most journalists are state worshipers, though, so that isn't really a concern you have to worry about. Also, depending on how rude the person was, you are allowed to cut their seats up in search of contraband using your tactical pocket knife. And this is the best part: when you predictably don't find anything, you still don't have to pay for the damage. It's pretty awesome to do so much in a hard day's work.

I guess I am a coward. I would agree that there is probably only a 1% chance of a bad outcome, but if that were my son 1% would be enough to frighten me.

Yeah, some dirt is way dirtier than other dirt, but this judge is about as dirty as it gets.

No worse than being reared by an extreme right wing fascist demanding authority not be questioned.

Personally I think that cop was just being a smartass and felt the need to feel more powerful than a 12 year old kid. The kid, in my opinion, is a pretty intelligent young boy who has an inquiring mind as to why cops seem to be able to break the law with no repercussions. Also, I don't really think the kid will get himself into too much trouble. I'd venture to say that he would be more than rational enough to not approach a biker gang or robbers that are parked on the sidewalk...

I think that kid could grow up to be the guy who questions everything and nobody likes. That being we also do not know why the cop was parked there. For all we know the pavement could have been hot and he wanted to park his bike on concrete so there wouldn't be a chance that the hot black top causes his bike to fall over from getting soft.

He shouldn't have parked there if he was only going in to grab a Big Gulp...

On the other hand, I really don't give a shit when I see a bike parked on the sidewalk as long as it's not blocking it.

I guess I just make an effort (though it's not really an effort at all) to not do anything that I would drop the hammer on.

Not exactly the policy violation of the century, but not too smart either. He got called out by a 12 year old and put on the internet, he'll probably just hike from a parking space next time. Problem solved.

Thanks for the laugh!! That's about some of the stupidest shit I've heard in awhile.

Yeah, that's exactly how it works...

And you are so right, the media LOVES us.

I have no issue with the kid asking the cop about parking on the sidewalk. However, secretly filming the incident shows he is hoping to stir up some shit.

Some people just need to get a life and not worry about such minor shit. There are much more important things to worry about in this day and age. I can bet you the second that kid gets in trouble or any one else for that matter, the first thing they will do is scream for the cops and the cops will come to their rescue!

You need to watch the vid again with the volume higher. The kid said he was recording to the cop.

Yea, 1:27 into the recording. Why was the camera sideways? Why film and post on Youtube unless you hope to catch something controversial?

I'm not a cop, but if I had been that cop and that kid pulled that shit, I would have had a big smile on my face the whole time.

"Isn't that illegal"
"Yes...."
"So why are you doing it?"
"I am not a perfect person"
"Badge number?"
"XYZ123"
"Ok, have a nice day."
"You, too, youngin'. HELLO YOUTUBE!!!!"

What is the big fucking deal with getting filmed while doing shit you're not supposed to as a cop? What, you're going to get yelled at by someone? You're afraid to look less awesome than Will Smith in Bad Boys? Grow some nuts. It's not like they're going to fire you for parking your bike on a sidewalk, or coming off as something other than a steroid abusing prick or ultimate smooth talking badass mk3.

My father was popo, changed lanes into another vehicle while driving his squad car once, and issue a citation to himself.
