Ok
So I’ll be getting my 18” barreled upper in the Mail soon. I received my Gen II PST 3-15 the other day.

So, I need a mount. QD would be cool but not absolutely necessary.

I’m pretty sure I don’t need any extra cant since I currently don’t have access to anything over 200 yards here in MD (unless/until I join Ft Meade…600yds).

Anyway, thoughts? ADM? Warne? MI? Vortex? Other? Any too specifically avoid?

I’d like to keep it as close to $100 as possible…

Define "as close to $100 as possible" because two of the options you listed, ADM and MI, will start out about double your stated budget. In your price range Vortex has their base "made in china" cantilever mount but I'd avoid that and they have their Pro cantilever mount for $150. The Pro mount is basically a Vortex branded Warne mount so you could also look at the Warne version with skeletonized ring caps. Brownells has a similar mount for $100 that fits your budget pretty well. I use that particular mount on one of my AR's with a Vortex Gen II 1-6 and it's been great so far.

I wouldn't get too wrapped around the axle with the need for QD, over the years I've found it to be a mostly useless feature save for a specific set of circumstances.

Yeah I have an ADM QD on my Grendel and I don’t think I’ve ever QD’d it.

There’s also a Strike Industries mount at primary arms on sale for $97, but I know nothing about them

...tube size will be a deciding factor. FWIW, I use a Burris AR-P.E.P.R. QD mount on my M5 upper and haven't had any issues with it over the years. Repeatability when unmount/mount is good. Once the adjustment for location on pic rail and tightness of the clamp is finalized, I mark the rail and clamp nuts to quickly verify visually in case I have to remove the mount for anything. Note: This is the older version of the P.E.P.R. mount, the new "Signature" version uses their nylon ring inserts to allow 5-40 MOA adjustment without using the scopes elevation adjustment. The rotation of the nylon rings can also adjust windage variations when setting scope up to facilitate keeping the windage adjustment truer to the center of the adjustment range. YMMV

good options

I like the qd option so I'd save for the ADM since OP mentioned that earlier

I'm pretty sure areo has mounts for 30 mm tubes . for what its worth I have a gen2 pst 3x15x44 and used the vortex mount . No problems at all . I also have the brownell / Warne mount and it works just fine . here it is on my 18 inch rifle .

AeroPrecision does and I've used one of their mounts but it's never inspired much confidence the way it locks up. I'd prefer to spend a little more for a mount that has more material around the tube and secures with four screws vs. two.
