I have a 700 sps with the picatinny rail mount. My glass is a zeiss with 1" tube and 56 mm objective diameter. I'm trying to figure out what's a good quality mount...rings for what I'm trying to do. I'd like to have the scope sit just above the barrell with enough clearance for my lens covers without being a large gap if possible. Any input is appreciated and if this is not in the right spot I apologize in advance.
Thanks

I like a picatinny rail myself, or for a more traditional hunting style system, I usually go for talley. using a picatinny rail, with either system, even with a 56mm objective, you can go low, unless you have a heavy barrel.

Thanks for the reply. My rifle is a 700 sps tactical. Do you think the lows will still work. Also thanks for the info on talley. I'll check that out right now
