Night Vision Mount pvs 9 issues

The easiest way is to not fight it . (myself) I just ended-up rolling with it and ( trimmed my scope to the pvs9 ) but I use a dedicated night rifle for hunting, with really not trying to switch back and forth day/night on one rifle .
redneckbmxr24/cory was mentioning of maybe doing a new mount to make it more modular . but that's the rub on the SIMRAD, great unit but it does not play well with the big scopes and large Obj.'s on mounting .
.

spuhr produces a US simrad dovetail plate for the isms. you can get quite a bit of adapting done with it versus badger mounts. when mounting to a long objective scope like a S&B etc you can remove the stray light shroud to gain you a couple inches or more . the beam splitter will basically butt up to the objective bell.

Sorry I missed this but looks like you got taken care of.

See my thread here.

As mentioned Spuhr is the way to go in most cases for adaptability. They only exception is scopes with long tube mounting lengths and long objectives which in that case you're better off with the Spuhr separate rings or badger rings as you can get the ring closer to the objective than you can with a 1 piece mount. Luckily the S&B has short tube lengths. Spuhr mount with scope all the way back, BC/Tenebraex covers (tenebraex ring too) removed, and the light shroud on the Simrad gets it done for me.

You can also machine off the front portion of the frame that the light shroud mounts to since it's completely useless anyway and that will give you an additional .300"+ of mounting.
