Im changing bases on my stevens 200. I had walmart bases and rings on it and decided to upgrade them to something less sucky, and embarrassing.

I bought a 20 moa base rail and some burris xtreme 30mm rings.

Anyway I have standard bases, when I mount the new 20 moa bases and new rings can I just go down 20 minutes on my scope to get it back to zero?

Thanks alot

Re: Mounting 20 MOA bases

Thats a great question, but I also think you need to take into account the scope mounting height. With everything else equal it just might work. I highly doubt the windage will be on, because every thing is different.
I always do a Poor Mans bore sight, which is to take the bolt out and look down the barrel out to 50 or 100 yds. what ever I can get away with in my neighborhood. LOL.

Cool, so in theory it should work.

Yup. Simply dialing 20 MOA will not put you directly at zero. You will be close, but not zero'ed.
