The only blue part of VA :(
i plan on mounting a SS 10x and an aimpoint on my leitner wise AR for coyote hunting.

it has a quad handguard but im wondering if anyone else has done this and can help me out a bit. i see 2 options. 1.) mount the aimpoint at 90 degrees to the main scope... and 2.) mount it with a 11 o'clock Daniel defense mount to make it just to the left and forward of the SS.

anyone else done something similar?

FWIW the Aimpoint is partially for close runners and partially so i can use my PVS7's to get coyotes at night on my buds farm. i think its going to have to be located farther out than a normal "3 gun" type setup since the goggles kind of get in the way

Re: mounting a LR scope and an aimpoint...

That's not a .499LWRC is it?

Whichever way you want to mount is should be fine, one can never overdo an AR's modularity.

Did someone steal a photo of my gun or what? Not bad once you get all the batteries up and working and the one hour system check. The only reason the thing has no wings is I am scared to fly. With all kidding aside that thing must come in at about 45 lbs

Larue and TNVC both make a mount for your proposed aimpoint mounting solution.

The larue mount cants the aimpoint towards the 1 O' clock position using the top rail. The TNVC SAR mounts on the actual scope body and puts the aimpoint around the axis.

Larue: http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=383

TNVC: http://tnvc.com/items/weapon_moounts_rings/sar3p.html

I also wouldn't recommend anything bigger than a T1/H1. Those things weight next to nothing with mount(~4oz) so it shouldn't add that much weight/bulk to your rig.

The Larue mount seems to make the setup a bit less bulky, but it'd be troublesome with larger turret knobs. The TNVC mount wouldn't be affected but it's not as streamlined.
