Mounting an Accu-shot Monopod to Bell and Carlson Stock

I know most people prefer to use a rear bag but I really like monopods.

I'd like to put one on my Remington 700 that has a Bell and Carlson Medalist Varmint stock. It does have a swivel stud but the bottom is flat

and the monopod that is designed to be used with studs has an angled bracket for mounting on a more traditional rifle stock...

From what I can tell, the only option I have is to get a rail adaptor to mount to the stud like this one

and get the rail mounted version of the monopod...

Does this sound right? Anyone know of any other options?

Hi, thanks for your interest and the second option using the BT12-QK is the way to go only install a rail using two fasteners. Wade at B&C is good people and can answer any questions on doing that.

Thanks 427Cobra. I found the thread but its for mounting a bipod. I am looking to mount a monopod on the buttstock. Is there another thread that I can't find or did you mistake my request for mounting a rail on the forend? Thanks.
