Mounting pic rail from bottom metal?

Has anybody ever done this before? Looking for a way to put a rail closer to center mass to put on a tripod.

Theoretically, I think most action screws have enough threads you could sandwich a pic rail in there if you have 2 in front of the trigger guard.

Easier and cleaner ways include getting a different chassis or stock, adding a rail just in front of the bottom metal/mag well, or adding/losing weight somewhere.

Ya know for a lighter hunting rig, a hinged floor plate with a rail (preferably Arca) machined directly into it doesn't seem like that bad of an idea.
