MPA 224 Valkyrie Rifle Questions

Saw a good deal on a MPA 224BA and jumped on it. Just took the transfer. I have two questions:
- The scope rail looks to be rem 700 compatible, is it? I need to swap to a 0 MOA rail as my scope mount already has 30 MOA
- It shipped with one polymer magazine. Is there any steel magazine that would work with this? I am looking at the Accurate AICS short action single stack and thinking that might work.

Thanks in advance.

Nice rifle for sure! The 224 Valkyrie is super interesting and I hope it takes off like the Creedmoors have. To try and answer your questions:

- Is the scope base R700 compatible? Yes, it should be. The action MPA is using on this rifle is a Curtis Custom Axiom, which is a R700 clone. However, their rail is pinned and may have a different screw spacing. I'd contact Curtis on this one (http://www.curtiscustom.com/contact-us/)

- Are there any steel mags? You could probably use one of the standard 223 metal magazines (like the ones Accurate makes), but they are going to take some feedlip tweaking and may not hold 10 rounds of 224 Valkyrie. As an alternative, you could get hold of one of these (http://www.chpws.com/product/224-valkyrie-mdt-8-round-mag) from C&H which is tuned in house for the 224. Sure, it's only 10 rounds, but you know almost 100% that it's going to work.

Hope this helps and feel free to let me know where I am wrong if I've said something dumb :D

Thanks much for the info!

For anyone else looking for info regarding the rail, I spoke with Joel from Curtis, the rail on the Curtis Axiom action is proprietary, they have plan to offer 0 and 40 MOA but no ETA on when that will be available. It was a pleasant conversation nonetheless.

Another bit of info, the rail is made of steel and is removable.

I ordered a steel magazine from XLR. It fits and appears to function. It is taller than the polymer magazine from chpws which was a modified MDT magazine. This steel magazine has accurate stamp on it but it fits 224 valkyrie. Maybe modified by XLR? I don’t have an Accurate 223 magazine to compare.

Have you taken this out to the range? How does it shoot? Please post some feedback as I'm very interested the platform. Have a 224V gasser but really want to try a bolt for comp practice.

Would be great if you have some targets to post.

Is the XLR magazine 308 single stack /double stack center feed modified for a 224?
