To those that have folders, do you actually find it useful, and is the extent of its use exclusive to transporting your rifle in a smaller case?

I find it use full for transporting and had more hard case options if you have a folder for carry and travel. I also gives you room folded for all your other accessories kept in 1 place. I have 3 defferent manufactures vault and nanuk are very high quality .I preferred the pull apart foam compared to the foam you have to cut out .Good luck with what ever you decide. Found my best deals on amazon.

I like it for transport and ease of pulling the bolt/maintenance

Two MPA's here ... both folders. Best use is for cleaning and bolt removal. I always transport unfolded.
