So I got this in the mail a few days ago

So hawt. Absolutely love it. I’m sprawled out across my tiny cabin setting it up (scope is only a few weeks out) and I’m done with cheek riser, got the LOP down and now here comes the question. How in the world to I adjust the height/cant of the recoil pad?

I know it’s possible... I just can’t seem to access the screws to do so. Do I just muscle this thing off to get to the screws or is there something I’m missing?

Been a while since I’ve messed with one but I believe there are little slits in the pad itself that you can get an Allen wrench into to get down to the screw
This. Allen wrench through the rubber. You can see the threads of the backs of the screws from behind the recoil pad to line you up. There are holes there, just hard to spot since the rubber closes up behind them.

Had the same ‘challenge’ and by luck found this post.

Yep, push an Allen key through the existing (almost invisible) holes in the butt pad. You will feel when it slips into the head of the screw.

The Allen key that worked for me measured 0.12”. Whatever that is in fractions of an inch. [Grew up metric, so fractionally challenged!]

Edit: By the way, you can set up a lot of cant and vertical adjustment for this stock, if you want or need to. I use extra high scope rings, as that works better with the prescription glasses that i have to wear in my old / middle age. Will have to order shooting glasses one day... Nice feature and not often found on chassis systems that cost under a thousand... much more comfortable than a hunting stock. Also: Helps me avoid cant in the rifle.

The straight grip looks rather weird but works remarkably well. TriggerTech trigger works well, adjusted it down to about 1.5 lbs with an Allen key, the screw has detents and makes audible clicks, so probably not going to fall out. And no need to remove the action from the stock to do that, trigger is super crisp. I tried hard to get the trigger to go off by bumping the butt stock hard on the floor multiple times. No issues. Appears to be reliable.

Edit: Removed my question about feeding and extraction and started a new thread.

Btw: My 6.5 Creedmoor MPA rifle shoots 0.4 MOA groups with Hornady 140 gn ammo, or just under that. Will now try to develop a good hand load.

What are you guys getting?
