I can get some Saab Barracuda netting. Size will be approximately 6-7’x2-3’, for ghillie suits or sniper hide covers. It’s the radar scattering, ir heat blocking one. I believe it’s also nir scattering. Should be really hard to detect with nods as well (I'll take a pic through my 14 when I get some. If you’re in Vegas and have thermal, you’re welcome to meet me and check it out. Price will be $70-100. Wanted to know if there’s any interest in those.

Ok, got the nets and been trying it out the last couple days. Since I’m in vegas and the net is the foliage variant, and not the desert one keep in mind, desert environment and foliage will have difference in contrast.
The net is pretty tough, the material reminds something in between magpul pouches and polymer. The strips are 6/6.5’x3’.
I took some pics through the nods. Works decently, with it without them, the best part I liked is it doesn’t reflect ir illuminator more than the surrounding vegetation. Also hung one at the window in one of the rooms and the temperature in that room was a little bit cooler then in the rest of the rooms that get as much sunlight.
The night vision pics were taken through brand new autogated PVS14 with a gen3 L3 AD tube. One from about 4 meters away and the other one standing right above it.

The strips were cut from the Barracuda system. I’m hoping to get the full system through a contact but not sure if it’ll happen yet.
The 6’x3’ strips pack to 6”x5”x4” size and weight 13oz.

I shined an M600 Scout at it. Think this is the best I can show the direct light reflection qualities of the net. The light was held the same height when shining on the net and the hardwood floor.

If enough interest is generated and I know I can get a high quantity I’ll make a very simple ghillie, force my wife out into the desert and take a few pics. Really regret selling off my thermal, otherwise would have way more pics.

I guess I’ll take a couple shots later today and make a masking suit top.
Waiting on the email from the seller but he said last time he has quantity, also the full systems, a command post size and a tank or vehicle size.
Still working on finding a thermal to take couple pics with that.

I’ll take 2. I mean is this like Harry Potter cloak of invisibility invisible or just regular invisible?

I would take a loan to buy a Harry Potter cloak myself. Although this is going to be way better than regular camo mets, understand that still there are millions of variables so nothing is perfect. Except the Harry Potter one of course, although I’ve heard you can see those though magic scopes))). On a serious note though you can use the best camo out there and deem it non effective just due to the place you choose, or the surrounding vegetation. The first thing I would do is look at the colors with full screen brightness and compare it to my surroundings.

I edited my post, Ill take 2, possibly 3. I’m East coast. Forest woodland is my AOR. These will work.

I'm in for a few to at least make a cape/poncho out of.

I'd be interested in a MRZR sized one; question I dont get from the article, what do they mean by drive away netting? Like its meant to be wrapped on the vehicle and driven around and can come off like some break away basketball pants or something? I get that you can just toss it over whatever and have it concealed, but what 'feature' are they getting at specifically with vehicles in the article?

eta - I reread it and I think they just meant hiding it and then driving out of a pre-fixed camo 'garage'.

Says there is an MRZR version? Can you get one for a 4 seat MRZR D4?

I know you can use them on vehicles for sure, and you can cover some windshields as well because you have visibility from the back side, but I’ll ask the guy and see if there’s anything else.
On that point though I’ll take some pics of the visibility through the net from the rear side and will also take some pics through nods and scope with the net in different distances.

Yeah I was thinking covering the top and sides and leaving it like that and then having a second one to toss over in line with the front/rear to 'close it up' when I want it hidden.

I'd be interested in visibility through it, but generally at night you try not an obstruct what you're trying to see through when driving.

Would a PAS23 help on your thermal testing?

Pas-23 should do it all. I’ve just put it over my windshield and took a pic.

Any lighter colors?
So far, no, but the details are being worked out. The supplier is pretty busy with agency orders, so it’ll take some time before all the details on sizes quantity and if there’s more patterns available.

Ok gents, got a quick chitchat with the supplier earlier today. I’ve paid for 38 pieces which will probably make 40 available. I’m waiting on a word on the shipping within the next couple days, once I have it I’ll post an update. Meanwhile the thermals are on the way, so the thermal testing will be done most likely sometime this week.
Although it took more than a few shots:cool:, I’ve made a simple masking top, let me do some testing on it and I’ll have basic info and feedback for those of you that want to make a ghillie with it.

I’ll need to check some shipping options but the price will most likely be $75 per shipped.
