muzzle brake affect group size on cz 750?

Picked up a cz750 in 308 started shooting it today. the brake works very well but have heard that brakes will cause gun not shoot as tight as they could

rumor or truth?

Rumor - I've seen groups improve and no change.

Have never seen one open up that was properly installed.
