No shortage of opinions . What do the Hide smiths say. I have a 7mm WSM and a Patriot Valley arms 30 caliber 4 port shock wave brake. Employee of PVA on You tube says this brake is perfect for 7mm and quite a few back him up . Others say no you have to have .020-.030 clearance . What do you all say ? I really don't want to send it back.

It will be just fine. I normally run .030" clearance, but i have experimented some. I did one of my self timing 30 cal brakes on a 6.5 creedmoore and made another brake just like it except bored for 6.5 and shooting them back to back there is no perceivable difference. I wouldnt worry about the little bit of loss that will occur personally.
