I have a Sako 85 Finnlight chambered in 7mm Rem Mag and wanted to reduce some of the recoil but more importantly wanted to be able to spot my own impacts. Which has become very important to me while hunting because I largely hunt alone and don't have a spotter to help in that department. So I searched for a way to get this done... properly. My findings led me to @Rubicon Precision. We discussed my options and @Rubicon Precision was very patient with me while I barraged him with questions and listened to me talk his ear off. I decided on an APA Gen 1 Micro Bastard in 9/16×32. Furthermore his work is excellent in my opinion and I am very satisfied with it. All I need to do now is get it zeroed and go burn some powder.

Thanx again @Rubicon Precision, much appreciated!

Thanx guys, I appreciate that. I had a somewhat difficult time finding info and answers regarding threading lighter weight sporter type barrels for muzzle brakes. So I thought I'd post mine and my findings so the next guy who has questions or is simply intrigued can give a look.
