Im having roscoe build me a .308 and the barrel is threaded 5/8x24,I need a muzzle brake that i can just screw on myself for when i dont have the AAC cyclone on it.So i need one that the orientation does not matter.Any ideas????

Badger FTE can be taken off and put on by the shooter but the barrel needs to be recontoured near the threads I believe. Best to get it and have Roscoe install it.

What he said! The FTE is the best out there. IMO

    Re: Muzzle brake help

    Have you tried asking Roscoe?

The FTE is a really good brake but as Rob said, the barrel O.D. has to be turned down a good bit behind the thread termination. This is going to give you less shoulder for your Cyclone to tighten up against. I personally try to keep the shoulder contact area as large as your barrel contour will allow for any screw on suppressor.

There are several out there that will go straight onto your threads and stop without having to time the shoulder or use washers while keeping the max barrel O.D. right up to the suppressor threads.

Roscoe is doing one for me right now with the FTE.

Terry is correct about the turning down. Check your suppressor specs for the minimum shoulder dimensions required as it may be too small.
