Muzzle Brake or Suppressor Effects on Gas System?

as I understand it, a suppressor will create more backpressure in a semi auto compared to when its not on the barrel. correct or incorrect?

what about a muzzle brake in terms of pressure? would a 18 inch barrel with rifle gas system that cycles properly be effected by the addition of a brake? or would one that cycles with the brake on possibly not with the removal of it?

thanks in advance. still searching but appreciate the feedback.

Scientifically, I'm sure it does affect it slightly. Keep in mind, though, that even with a brake, the gases have somewhere to go. A suppressor is containing most of them to keep the noise down, whereas a brake uses them to push directionally. I don't think you'd have a noticeable difference on the gas system between a brake and target crown.

Not a 100% sure but i dont think a brake can effect the gas cycling as the gas pressure has already vented through barrel before it comes to the vents on the brake i would think?
