I just bought a Remington 700 sendero sf 2 in 300 win mag. I took it to my.gun Smith. To get it threaded and have a Holland ad brake put on it. The gun Smith said that cause its a factory barrel and how Remington makes thier barrels . Putting a threaded muzzle brake would mess up the harmonics of the barrel and make it inaccurate. Is he right . Need info.

Boom. This^^^^

That guy doesn't know what he is talking about and shouldn't be working on your rifle.

Negative on that ... here's mine (factory Sendero barrel) with a Little Bastard brake on it and it shoots great!!!

Re: muzzle brake question

Mike, your gunsmith is incorrect. I've done this numerous times with large calibers and the accuracy of the shooter has always improved due the reduced amount of felt recoil.

I've always said that if your gunsmith isnt a shooter too, your using the wrong gunsmith.
