Muzzle Brake question

I'm looking at this muzzle brake that has the porting in the end of the muzzle of the brake.

Does anyone know if this style works or is worth a shit?

The better known version of this is the Levang compensator. Yes, they work very well, leaving little dust signature and are much quiter to those around you.

I have a DPMS Levang Linear Compensator on a .223 AR and it does a pretty good job of redirecting noise forward. As a compensator, though, it doesn't really do that much to reduce muzzle flip.

There is not a version of the Levang for .308 that I am aware of and this is the first clone I have seen.

Does anyone know of any other mfg who makes these? In particular does anyone make a clamp on version?
